I feel that life is too short, so I do my best to seize the day while fighting my Multiple Sclerosis as well as my Husbands Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes.

Is it June 11th already?
I hate that I've been a slacker-blogger lately, but given Tim's health concerns of late, chest pains, cardiac cath, and an extended battle with DKA (diabetic ketoacidosis)and gastroparesis, it has been anything but boring....at least, the "kids" are doing great...
I ordered a bulk box of "rattle mice" for them, the picture is of Prozac with a few of the toys, best to buy in bulk when you have 7 cats....
OK,only ten more days to go until the Summer Solstice. I look forward to that day, not because I lean Pagan in my spiritual views, but that is when the days will start getting shorter, meaning less sunlight.....which suits my eyes much better. Not only do I have MS, but I have PP....photophobia...caused by autonomic nerve dysfunction....yes, I wear my sunglasses at night...so I can, watch you breathe, (hopefully you know the 80's song I'm referring to)...and the most of the day, even indoors...I also have to keep the blinds shut as if I'm a vampire...on the bright side (bright side, get it?) I have several pairs of cool sunglasses....and not going around squinting too much because of my adaptations have kept my skin looking pretty damn good around my eyes....I still carded...
Which doesn't really matter if I don't get out that much anyway....does it? It's not as if my cats notice....ha!
The irony of life....

About Me
- catlover1968
- I've dealt with MS 25 years, but have tried to make lemonade out of lemons. Luckily, I married a wonderful man, who also happens to have a chronic disease, Type 1 Juvenile Diabetes. I feel that because of what we go through we appreciate life all the more. Luckily he appreciates animals and cats the same way I do. We chose to not have kids, but to take care of stray cats and adopt them as family members. Our current family of 6, are all former strays from NC. I feel very lucky for their company and various antics.
